📚 About the Role
This part-time, permanent position focuses on delivering high-quality teaching across modules in:
- Music Technology
- Sound Recording & Production
- Live Sound Engineering
You’ll also be engaged in curriculum development, student support, and possibly supervision at MRes and PhD levels. Teaching will take place in the department’s advanced facilities and the iconic Tung Auditorium — a purpose-built, acoustically-optimized concert venue in the Yoko Ono Lennon Centre.
👩🏫 Who Should Apply?
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of academic credentials and practical expertise. You must have:
- An undergraduate degree in Music, Music Technology, or a related field
- A Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- A formal teaching qualification (e.g. AFHEA, FHEA, PGCE) or be willing to obtain one
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- A deep understanding of current industry practices in music technology
Experience in higher education teaching and curriculum design is highly desirable.
🕒 Working Pattern & Flexibility
The position requires on-campus teaching three days per week during the main teaching periods (mid-September to mid-May).
During the summer, lighter duties may be carried out with hybrid work options, equivalent to 1–2 days per week.
